Instrument Cluster for Mainstream Vehicles
A case study
Our client is a global Automotive supplier company, leader in cockpit electronic products including digital instrument clusters, information displays, infotainment, head-up displays, telematics, cockpit domain controllers, and the autonomous driving platform.
Starting in 2008, RINF TECH and our partner have begun a long-term partnership, so we have been able to build and expand the client’s business and capabilities over 25% in the last decade. As a result, the client’s projects have been delivered from all of RINF TECH’s locations, ranging from Bucharest, Timisoara and Kiev, to the client’s location. Having this amount of knowledge has given us the opportunity to take new projects that were overloading our client and develop them In-house, expanding our expertise in the Automotive market.
Our client provided us with a challenge concerning the deliverables of two Instrument Cluster projects for two of the biggest car manufacturers globally.
The urgent need was to solve the remaining number of defects (around 1600 on both projects) and implement the remaining features for the ongoing projects. Moving forward, the client acquired more business on which he could not focus without the help of RINF TECH.
RINF TECH’s team worked on the following
- Softwar Development
- AUTOSAR modules integrations
- Hardware bring-up for new Hardware Instrument Clusters
- Vector tools for AUTOSAR 2
In order to give the best support to our client, we engaged engineers on different specialties which worked together to obtain the best end results in an Agile methodology, using Cycle-V process and following ASPICE policies. Our team together with our client’s mirror team has taken the responsibility of delivering the next generations of Instrument clusters for one of the biggest names in Automotive car makers. We managed to do so by focusing on good quality development and integration.
We have successfully delivered our work in a challenging, distributed environment where communication and constant synchronizing with other teams were the key elements for success.
